The city of Bhavnagar proudly hosted Gujarat’s largest karate institution, the Karate Academy of Japan Gojuryu, for a remarkable event — the Gujarat State Championship – 2024, on Sunday, January 7th. The tournament was organized at the Saurashtra Kadva Patidar Hall, under the exceptional leadership of Shihan Pradipbhai Parekh, Chief Instructor of the India chapter.
The event began with a grand inauguration where distinguished guests remained present to encourage the young participants. This state-level championship witnessed participation from more than 450 karate students representing various districts across Gujarat, including Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Botad, Amreli, Ahmedabad, and Navsari.
Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including Kuldeepsinh Chudasama, President of BJP Yuva Morcha (Bhavnagar), who applauded the efforts of the participants and extended his best wishes for choosing a discipline like karate.
Winners of the championship were honored with medals and certificates in recognition of their hard work and achievement.
